The Most Over-Hyped Game In My Collection Is…
Posted by Will Snizek in Sony PS3, Video Games on April 26th, 2009

Killzone 2 for the PS3 is currently the most over-hyped and over-rated video game I own. I bought it launch week and have only played the game a couple times. I really loved the graphics and thought the lighting effects were really good, but this wasn’t the 10/10 and 9.5/10 game everyone said it was going to be. The controls are a little funky and aiming flat out sucks. What really bothers me is the fact that this could have been a truly epic game for me, but the controls are the main aspect I really just can’t get around. I was annoyed with the game after a few hours on it. That rarely happens with FPS games and me. Whenever I do load up the game, I find myself wishing I was just playing some Resistance or Halo instead.
The only reason I hold on to it is in hopes that I somehow get motivated to play through the entire game and find some redeeming factors. Right now, I simply don’t have the motivation or interest in Killzone 2. I certainly feel like it’s the most over-hyped game in my collection at this time.
Top 10 Most Fun RPG’s I Have Played
Posted by Aaron Mazza in The Old School, Video Games on April 22nd, 2009

Following my previous post of the Top 5 Hardest RPG’s I Have Played (here), I decided to list my Top 10 Most Fun RPG’s. This isn’t my favorite RPG list, just the ones I had the most fun with. They are placed in order when they launched, starting from newest to oldest. Just to emphasize again, this is a list of RPG’s I had the most fun playing, not a “this is better than that” list. Without further ado!
Kezins GameCast | Oblivion Defense
Posted by Carlos Macias in Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3, Sony PSP, Video Games, Xbox 360 on April 22nd, 2009
After weeks of putting up with Adrian’s apathy towards Oblivion, Carlos finally put it to the test and he, well, listen in to hear what he thought about it. Aaron joins in from the East Coast sleepy and tired from our 4/20 recording.
Topics discussed include Fable II DLC, Worms, Red Faction: Guerrilla, “Nothing But The Truth,” “Observe & Report,” “17 Again,” and NPD sales talk in our least politically correct episode thus far.

Top 5 Hardest RPG’s I Have Played
Posted by Aaron Mazza in The Old School, Video Games on April 20th, 2009

RPG’s, or Role Playing Games, used to be the only genre of games I’d buy. I got hooked into playing them via friends and would buy tons of them. Some good, some bad, some easy, and that leaves the hard ones. These are my Top 5 RPG’s that I found to be the hardest ones. Please keep in mind the years when the games came out, the consoles, and my age when playing them. Games are listed newest to oldest and are in no particular order.
Amazing Wonder Woman Collage
Posted by Will Snizek in Uncategorized on April 19th, 2009

If I had an unlimited budget, I would certainly buy the above piece of art. Unfortunately, I’m on a budget and have to clear purchases through my wife. I just spent a ton of money on video games a few weeks ago when I went on one of my typical shopping sprees, so I am now on restriction for a while. I thought I’d post the link to this art in case someone out there was interested or if someone wanted to buy it for me *wink*. I have seen a lot of interesting comic book and video game based art lately and definitely need to start buying some.
16×20 inch Wonder Woman collage-black, white, and gray. 1st of many works by a famous “unknown” artist that has been in several juried art shows. Won “Most Unique Media Award.” Mediums used: newsprint, resin, & gray mat board. Absolutely stunning–get it before I change my mind!
Free shipping. there are no duplications–just photographs. Excellent “un-touched” condition. No returns allowed, but be assured, you will not want to return this one!
‘Red Faction: Guerrilla’ Demo Impressions (360, PS3)
Posted by Carlos Macias in Sony PS3, Video Games, Xbox 360 on April 19th, 2009

The Red Faction series has never been known for exacting on greatness. Volition’s first outing landed quickly after the PS2’s launch and dazzled early adopters with its geo-mod technology that let you blow holes into everything. Its sequel, Red Faction II, had less “modding” to it, but polished the visuals and delivered an above-average linear experience.
Why I Despise GameStop
Posted by Aaron Mazza in Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, PC, Sony PS3, Sony PSP, Uncategorized, Video Games, Xbox 360 on April 16th, 2009

I cannot stand GameStop. Their customer service, horrible trade-in service, reselling used games, the prices - everything about them just sets me off. They are a plague to me and I plan to continue avoiding them. I have not gone there in quite some time but recently ran into two seperate encounters with them and it further fueled my hatred towards them.

Godfather II Multiplayer Review
Posted by Carlos Macias in Game Reviews, Sony PS3, Video Games, Xbox 360 on April 15th, 2009

Will gave the single-player aspect of Godfather II a good review but, personally, it doesn’t stack up and it’s the most evident when you hit the online pavement with your made men. Read the rest of this entry »
Are Games Coming In Pairs?
Posted by Aaron Mazza in Nintendo Wii, PC, Sony PS3, Video Games, Xbox 360 on April 15th, 2009

Am I seeing double? Are games becoming incredibly similar recently? It seems like every time I hear or read about a new game, another game is announced with similar characteristics. Although each game is classified as an “original” idea, one can’t help but think of a similar game coming out around the same time. Let’s take a look at some case and point examples.
My Thoughts on Microsoft’s E-74 Actions
Posted by Will Snizek in Video Games, Xbox 360 on April 15th, 2009

At this point, we all know that Microsoft has finally extended their Xbox 360 warranty to include the infamous E-74 error. Was this enough? To be honest, I feel as if Microsoft has still committed a crime here. While it is great that they will be refunding money to anyone who paid to get their fried E-74 system fixed, this is still too little in my opinion. What about the people who gave up and bought another system or tried to fix the console themselves since it wasn’t under warranty?
Mazza’s Laundry List
Posted by Aaron Mazza in Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3, Video Games, Xbox 360 on April 13th, 2009

Who wants to do my laundry? Luckily, this list isn’t about my clothing laundry but my gaming list. I think all gamers suffer from having a laundry list or backlog as some call it. I’m usually pretty good with mine up until recent. Let’s go into detail over my dilemma and please leave your comments and experiences below.
