The first Lost Planet game was decent. I liked playing it but glad I found it at a cheap price. Seeing how Lost Planet 2 is supposed to so much advanced than the first title, I was eager to try out this demo.

To be honest, it feels like Lost Planet again. You could have told me I was playing new Lost Planet DLC and I would have believed you. The demo pits you (and others) against a massive creature trying to destroy it as quickly as possible. There’s no stage, just a big boss battle to endure. Once the battle is over, so is the demo. Expect maybe 5-10 minutes tops of actual playtime.

I realize this isn’t a true demo and it’s an early look at the game but it falls flat. I will still look forward to the release of Lost Planet 2, however it will be a rental for me. Hopefully down the road, Capcom will release another demo showcasing more of the game’s potential that could be a swing vote into a purchase but if this co-op demo is exactly like the final product, save your money.
