NCAA Football 2010: Microtransactions Ruined It…
Posted by Will Snizek in Sony PS3, Video Games, Xbox 360 on July 16th, 2009

I picked up NCAA Football 10 on launch day and have to say that I am certainly put off by the micro-transactions that are optional with the game. Some of the optional DLC that can be purchased gives players special advantages in the game, including when they play against others online, which pretty much ruins the game for me. I plan to run through everything I can do offline and trade the game in.
The real shame of this situation is the fact that the game seems to be a big improvement over last year’s version. The DLC would be great if it were free and it feels like another situation where we are being nickel-and-dimed to death by game companies. I’ll certainly play the game quite a bit over the next few weeks, but Electronic Arts has left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I loyally buy this game every year (like many others) and now they want to pull these cheap DLC stunts. Maybe I’ll just skip 2011…

If you want to know what it’s like to run a crime family, check this game out!
We waited a long time to get our hands on The Godfather II and have spent the past week enjoying the title courtesy of Electronic Arts. Unfortunately, I was not able to extensively evaluate multiplayer gaming with the title considering no one is playing it on LIVE yet. Due to this, Carlos will be evaluating the multiplayer aspect of Godfather II all week and we will attach his thoughts to the review then.
