Megan Fox on Xbox LIVE Tomorrow

Megan Fox will be on Xbox LIVE tomorrow (Saturday, August 29) playing Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen at 5:30 PM ET.  In order to play with her, you’ll need to download the game’s 800 MP DLC.  Considering the game sucks, it’s not really worth it even to get the chance to game with Megan.

MAG Private Beta: I’m In!

I was selected for the MAG Private Beta and am really excited about the opportunity to check out the game.  With 256 players in one multiplayer game, this is sure to be an exciting game.  I’ll be posting all week on my experience with the beta.

We have been shipped a review copy (courtesy of RocketXL), so we hope to have a posted review on the site by the end of this week.The reviews have been mixed so far, but I feel like the game probably has quite a few redeeming values.  As an old-school Joe fan, I will certainly be critical…

Top Ten Star Wars PC Games

I’m not into PC gaming the way I was in the past, but I still enjoy revisiting some of the old classics.  While Star Wars games have been relatively bad on consoles, the PC market got most of the great SW titles.  Here are my picks for the “top 10 Star Wars PC games”:

  • 10  Star Wars: Dark Forces
  • 9  Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
  • 8 Star Wars: Dark Forces II
  • 7  Star Wars: X-Wing
  • 6  Star Wars: TIE Fighter
  • 5  Star Wars: Republic Commando
  • 4  Star Wars: Rogue Squadron
  • 3  Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II
  • 2  Star Wars: Empire at War
  • 1  Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

I’m sure that most people would pick KOTOR as their top Star Wars game.  Not only is it the greatest Star Wars themed RPG, but it’s one of the best overall RPGs I have ever played.  I was a little upset when I discovered KOTOR III was an MMO, but I think I might still give it a shot anyway.  What really separates Star Wars games on the PC from the console games is the ability to modify the games and the stronger internet Star Wars community.

Guitar Hero: Metallica Review (PS3)

I was a huge fan of Metallica growing up.  The “Black” album is where I became slightly less of a fan.  Once Load came out, I pretty much gave up on the guys.  From about 1994 through 2008, I never really thought much about the band.  I still listened to the old stuff though.  When Death Magnetic was initially released, I skipped over it but heard a few songs online and decided to purchase it.  The album is amazing compared to anything they have done since the early 1990s and the album was enough to get me interested in the band again. It’s still hard to really picture Metallica without Cliff Burton or Jason Newsted though.  The “Metal Up Your Ass” days are gone, but this game is a great way to relive some of it.
