Microsoft Holding “Screw Google” Meetings?
Posted by Will Snizek in Nerd News on September 1st, 2009
According to several sources, Microsoft has been holding weekly meetings under the codename “Screw Google” in an effort to discredit Google’s corporate advancements. Is this true? I have no idea, but it does sound like something Microsoft would do…
According to an anonymous Microsoft insider, the company has been holding special, secret meetings with what could be the least secretive codename, ever: “Screw Google!”
As often as once a week, Microsoft is initiating what are being referred to as “Screw Google” meetings aimed at discrediting the corporate advancements of Google.

Endless Eight Finally Gets to Hitler

Will this Hitler video ever get old? First he jumped on Microsoft, then Nintendo and Sony followed by BlazBlue. Now they turned it into an Endless Eight video.

The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (PS3 Review)

Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC)
Developer: Starbreeze Studios/Tigon Studios
Publisher: Atari
Released: April 7, 2009
MSRP: $59.99
We finally got the chance to play the new Riddick game (PS3 version) and can definitely say its worth picking up. This title has certainly been under-rated by many sites. For whatever reason, the Microsoft Gods didn’t include Escape From Butcher Bay on their backwards compatibility list, but Assault on Dark Athena gives you another chance to play the game. It’s basically the same great game with polished graphics and sound. If you somehow missed this title, you simply need to buy Assault on Dark Athena. Escape From Butcher Bay was one of my picks for “top 5 Xbox games”…
Sony and Microsoft Don’t Need To Compete With Nintendo
Posted by Will Snizek in Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3, Video Games, Xbox 360 on May 17th, 2009

Next month we will probably see Microsoft and Sony unveil new control schemes that mimic the motion madness that is the Nintendo Wii. I certainly understand that Microsoft and Sony believe they are in competition with the Wii, but they are mistaken. The Wii has become a cultural phenom and sales records of the system are partially due to the fact that non-gamers were caught up in the frenzy. With that said, I think it’s a huge mistake for Sony and Microsoft to compete with the Wii. Instead of competing, they need to improve on what they are the best at. It’s too late in the ball game anyway to expect people to get excited about motion controls on the 360 and PS3.
My Thoughts on Microsoft’s E-74 Actions
Posted by Will Snizek in Video Games, Xbox 360 on April 15th, 2009

At this point, we all know that Microsoft has finally extended their Xbox 360 warranty to include the infamous E-74 error. Was this enough? To be honest, I feel as if Microsoft has still committed a crime here. While it is great that they will be refunding money to anyone who paid to get their fried E-74 system fixed, this is still too little in my opinion. What about the people who gave up and bought another system or tried to fix the console themselves since it wasn’t under warranty?
Do You Feel Ripped Off By DLC?
Posted by Aaron Mazza in Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, PC, Sony PS3, Sony PSP, Video Games, Xbox 360 on April 9th, 2009

Downloadable content, or DLC as we call it, is more popular than ever. Nearly every game released is expected to have some type of it launch. I just read about some new DLC that launched or will launch soon and it got me thinking about the quality/quantity of DLC. Is the price fair for DLC? How much content should we actually get? Should downloadable games get DLC? Do you feel ripped off by DLC?
