Top Ten Star Wars PC Games

I’m not into PC gaming the way I was in the past, but I still enjoy revisiting some of the old classics.  While Star Wars games have been relatively bad on consoles, the PC market got most of the great SW titles.  Here are my picks for the “top 10 Star Wars PC games”:

  • 10  Star Wars: Dark Forces
  • 9  Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
  • 8 Star Wars: Dark Forces II
  • 7  Star Wars: X-Wing
  • 6  Star Wars: TIE Fighter
  • 5  Star Wars: Republic Commando
  • 4  Star Wars: Rogue Squadron
  • 3  Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II
  • 2  Star Wars: Empire at War
  • 1  Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

I’m sure that most people would pick KOTOR as their top Star Wars game.  Not only is it the greatest Star Wars themed RPG, but it’s one of the best overall RPGs I have ever played.  I was a little upset when I discovered KOTOR III was an MMO, but I think I might still give it a shot anyway.  What really separates Star Wars games on the PC from the console games is the ability to modify the games and the stronger internet Star Wars community.

‘Ghost Whisperer’ Video Game on the Way!

LEGACY INTERACTIVE® AND CBS CONSUMER PRODUCTS TO DEVELOP VIDEO GAME BASED ON POPULAR ‘GHOST WHISPERER’ TV SERIES

LOS ANGELES – July 23, 2009 – Casual games developer and publisher Legacy Interactive® today announced a licensing agreement with CBS Consumer Products that will expand their growing roster of TV-licensed games.   Legacy will develop a video game based on the popular CBS drama series Ghost Whisperer.

Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC)

We finally got the chance to play the new Riddick game (PS3 version) and can definitely say its worth picking up.  This title has certainly been under-rated by many sites.  For whatever reason, the Microsoft Gods didn’t include Escape From Butcher Bay on their backwards compatibility list, but Assault on Dark Athena gives you another chance to play the game.  It’s basically the same great game with polished graphics and sound.  If you somehow missed this title, you simply need to buy Assault on Dark Athena.  Escape From Butcher Bay was one of my picks for “top 5 Xbox games”…

Do You Feel Ripped Off By DLC?

Downloadable content, or DLC as we call it, is more popular than ever. Nearly every game released is expected to have some type of it launch.  I just read about some new DLC that launched or will launch soon and it got me thinking about the quality/quantity of DLC. Is the price fair for DLC? How much content should we actually get? Should downloadable games get DLC? Do you feel ripped off by DLC?
