More than two decades have passed since I played the original Punch-Out!! NES game. I didn’t pick up Punch-Out!! on launch day due to the fact that it seems I am a sucker for nostalgic games that fall flat on their face. Now that the hype has died down, I decided to jump into the ring and see if the game was equal to the high reviews it has received so far.

Sony and Microsoft Don’t Need To Compete With Nintendo
Posted by Will Snizek in Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3, Video Games, Xbox 360 on May 17th, 2009

Next month we will probably see Microsoft and Sony unveil new control schemes that mimic the motion madness that is the Nintendo Wii. I certainly understand that Microsoft and Sony believe they are in competition with the Wii, but they are mistaken. The Wii has become a cultural phenom and sales records of the system are partially due to the fact that non-gamers were caught up in the frenzy. With that said, I think it’s a huge mistake for Sony and Microsoft to compete with the Wii. Instead of competing, they need to improve on what they are the best at. It’s too late in the ball game anyway to expect people to get excited about motion controls on the 360 and PS3.

Do You Feel Ripped Off By DLC?
Posted by Aaron Mazza in Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, PC, Sony PS3, Sony PSP, Video Games, Xbox 360 on April 9th, 2009

Downloadable content, or DLC as we call it, is more popular than ever. Nearly every game released is expected to have some type of it launch. I just read about some new DLC that launched or will launch soon and it got me thinking about the quality/quantity of DLC. Is the price fair for DLC? How much content should we actually get? Should downloadable games get DLC? Do you feel ripped off by DLC?
