Crystal Defenders 200/200 FTW (XBLA)
Posted by Will Snizek in Game Reviews, Video Games, Xbox 360 on May 12th, 2009

I’ve been playing Crystal Defenders since March 12 and I finally beat everything in the game. I rarely care about achievements but I certainly feel accomplished getting every achievement. The “Good Samaritan” achievement was my final task. For weeks, I was kept missing the achievement by 1 crystal. If you haven’t played the game, I suggest picking it up for 500MP. There’s rarely a “great” game on the XBLA for 500 points. The game is basically a tower defense title and seems simple, yet requires a ton of strategy to beat.
Star Ocean Impressions (Xbox 360) Part 1
Posted by Will Snizek in Video Games, Xbox 360 on May 6th, 2009

I finally decided to pick up ‘Star Ocean: The Last Hope’ for the Xbox 360. I had my reservations concerning the title, but decided that I’d probably enjoy the game and $60 would more than likely be worth it. Here are my initial impressions after five hours of gameplay:
After seven hours of gameplay, I can say that I’m not impressed with the title. I’m still holding out hope that the game will eventually grow on me like most good RPGs do. So far I don’t feel any kind of emotional attachment to the story or characters like I usually do with epic Square games. The combat system is a little weird and I don’t feel like I need to use my brains to play the game. I’m often attracted to RPGs because they require actual strategy and actual thinking. Something is certainly missing with this game.
My Thoughts on Microsoft’s E-74 Actions

At this point, we all know that Microsoft has finally extended their Xbox 360 warranty to include the infamous E-74 error. Was this enough? To be honest, I feel as if Microsoft has still committed a crime here. While it is great that they will be refunding money to anyone who paid to get their fried E-74 system fixed, this is still too little in my opinion. What about the people who gave up and bought another system or tried to fix the console themselves since it wasn’t under warranty?
The Godfather II Review (Xbox 360)
Posted by Will Snizek in Game Reviews on April 7th, 2009

If you want to know what it’s like to run a crime family, check this game out!
We waited a long time to get our hands on The Godfather II and have spent the past week enjoying the title courtesy of Electronic Arts. Unfortunately, I was not able to extensively evaluate multiplayer gaming with the title considering no one is playing it on LIVE yet. Due to this, Carlos will be evaluating the multiplayer aspect of Godfather II all week and we will attach his thoughts to the review then.
